Harriet Sims

Registered Nurse & Therapist

My name is Harriet (she/her) and I am from New Zealand. I grew up in Auckland and have since travelled the world meeting people and experiencing many different ways of life.

For the past 10 years I have been working with young people, adults and their families to support them with physical and mental health challenges. I provide mental health support and treatment in person and via Zoom.

I bring a wide range of experience and I can't wait to share that with you.

I take a collaborative, transparent approach focused on your goals. It is really important to me to work alongside you to establish a safe space to explore your difficulties. I am compassionate, non-judgmental and we will work at your pace.

Anxiety & Depression

Worries and low mood can interfere with your ability to participate in day to day life. I can support you to make behavioural changes to improve your day to day experience.

Eating disorders can affect people from all walks of life. They not only affect the person suffering but also their families. I can support you with practical behavioural changes and creative ways to work towards recovery.

Gender identity exploration

I have worked with many people on their journey of gender identity discovery. This can be both an exciting and terrifying time. I have supported people through both their social and medical transitions.
